The Scotty Davenport Golf Scramble raises funds for two organizations committed to helping children who need speech and language therapy: The Scottish Rite Foundation and The Kids Center for Pediatric Therapy. Our mission is to provide pre-school aged children, 2-5 year olds, the skills necessary to permit them to enter regular school when treatment is complete.
The Scottish Rite Foundation was established in 1985 for the prime purpose of providing financial support for children in need of speech and language therapy services. The therapy is provided on a sliding scale fee system for those able to pay and is provided free to those who cannot. No one is turned away for financial reasons. The program has been an unqualified success. Currently, the therapy is administered by the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapy.
Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies has been serving children with special needs since 1958. Each week over 300 children facing challenges such as autism, down syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy and more. The purpose of the Center is to help special needs children discover their abilities. The Center provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. Nutritional consults are available upon request.
